Ide VW of East Rochester is a family owned and operated Honda Dealership in Penfield, NY. It all started in 1970, when Dick Ide opened his first dealership in Fairport, NY
In 1973 he added the Honda franchise.
In 1976, we opened up the Ide Collision Center in East Rochester providing state of the art body shop services to complete our trio of excellent sales, service and collision repairs
A few years later, in 1977, he moved both dealerships to Panorama Trail.
In 1984, Dick’s oldest son, Mitch Ide, opened Mitch Ide’s Ideal Chevy-Olds-Geo in Geneseo, NY. Along with his wife, Anne, they ran the dealership until selling it in 2000.
In 2007 Mitch purchased the Honda dealership from his father and has been involved in daily operations. When we say family owned and operated, we mean it. Mitch is the owner, Anne is the CFO, and their son, Rich is the Vice President.
2012 was the year we expanded our family of dealerships to open up Ide Volkswagen of East Rochester.
We had the grand re-opening of Ide Volkswagen, presenting the brand new Volkswagen Sales and Service facilities.
2019 was a huge year of success for us, we had record breaking sales at Ide Honda putting us at the top in the Rochester region.
The Ide Family of Dealerships celebrates our 50th year anniversary. 50 years of supporting our local communities and being fair and honest. Here’s to 50 more.
